SSM-Clock—Appendix E — Red-Team Matrix

E.1 Adversarial inputs and expected behavior (short)

Condition / InputExpected behaviorMinimal mitigation
Two channels only (1,7)May pick alias valleyStack with Delta=0.5 d or add a 3rd cycle
High noise bursts (>=12 deg)PASS may dip; P95 widensRaise K, then S; optionally reduce grid step
Headerless CSV (pairs)Parser confusionRequire headers or switch to wide mode
Non-integer periods onlySpurious repeatsT_search = max(periods); rely on stacking
Missing channels intermittentlyConfidence dips; jitterKeep stacking; small alpha_kz; diversify periods
Model/manifest tamperingIntegrity riskFreeze manifests post-acceptance; version + exact commands
Flat curvature bowlsLow conf; ambiguityAbstain or escalate; add a diversified cycle or raise S

Error and reporting conventions (always ASCII).

  • Report time error modulo horizon:
err_days = min( |tau_hat - tau_true| , T_search - |tau_hat - tau_true| )

  • confidence is a scalar in [0,1) from curvature; do not treat as a probability.
  • Keep all artifacts plain ASCII (CSV/TXT/JSON) for portability and audit.
