Shunyaya Symbolic Mathematical Clock Stamp (SSM-Clock Stamp)

Offline, tamper-evident, human-verifiable integrity & ordering (ASCII-only)

What it is. SSM-Clock Stamp is a lightweight, offline-first way to timestamp and integrity-seal any file using a human-verifiable clock plus a cryptographic append-only chain. No servers, no PKI, no blockchain are required at stamp time. Everything is plain ASCII, deterministic, and auditable end-to-end.

    SSM-Clock Stamp follows the same ethos of transparent, verifiable simplicity: a single ASCII line binds file bytes, a human-checkable time code, and a chain position.

Why it is different

  • Human-checkable clock: rasi_idx and theta_deg are interpretable, not random nonces.
  • Zero ceremony: no keys or accounts required; signatures/anchors can be layered later.
  • Composable metadata: the optional kv: tail extends provenance without changing core math.
  • Bounded backdating: publish a daily roll-up digest to add a public “no-later-than” bound without mutating past stamps (max_backdating_window_sec <= anchor_period_sec).
  • Merge-safe provenance: optional kv:chain_id and kv:device assist safe multi-device merges; unknown kv: keys are ignored by verifiers (non-breaking).

What you get on day one

  • Integrity: any byte change flips sha256(file); verification fails.
  • Ordering: any deletion/reorder breaks the local chain tip.
  • Reproducibility: fixed-policy ASCII; anyone can recompute from the rules.
  • Offline verification: complete without network; optional anchors add a public time bound later.
